Eating Lactose Free in Edinburgh

I just got back from Edinburgh in Scotland. Which isn’t that far from London really, and everything is in English – so how was it eating lactose free?

Annoyingly I didn’t take many pictures of Edinburgh myself but it’s a beautiful city. Eating dairy and lactose free there was actually pretty easy. I didn’t have haggis but the ones I saw didn’t contain and milk. The most I had to do was ask for no butter on a sandwich or some sauce on the side in places like Kyloe. Kyloe is a really nice steak place and they are fried in oil so no need to worry about hidden butter. Everywhere else, people were very friendly and it was easy to check if items contained dairy or to ask for another option. Overall, you should be fine eating dairy free in Edinburgh. The only thing you’ll be missing out on is all the shortbread which all contains plenty of butter čÖü
